Remember, those who walk in fear;
Voice catching
stress
leaks out
in tighteningness, in darting eyes,
in tense brows, intense replies
turns sureity upon its head
questions peace at its core.
Remember, gardener, wisdom cannot thrive in fear-lit conditions.
Instead.
Plant firm, water with the voice of calm.
Allow the roots to sink so deep, it will not be undone by quaking wind or squall.
Watch buds of curiosity
open tender heads!
Observe the stems reach high, fan out, feeling kiss of sunlight warm and nourishing;
Basking
in the birds, beetles, burrows
nestled in green branches.
Clever pruning where dead wood lies.
Encourage open form
To grow - roots deep, arms wide, blossoms scenting air of dusk.
To fruit abundant
Frost and rainstorms hold no sway
Strong, through fear and doubt
Til sunset comes again.
